This class covers the basic principles and guidelines for beginning spiritual counselors. Spiritual counseling is an extremely rewarding pursuit, but carries with it, a phenomenally heavy responsibility. Before one goes into it, one should have a strong foundation of knowledge. Since spirituality is no longer the domain of large religions or sects, there is no central governing body that determines who is and isn't qualified to be a spiritual counselor...and there probably shouldn't be one. So, this course, and the ones to follow, will be designed to give you the required direction and information, while leaving your religion (or lack of religion) up to you. Spiritual Counseling for Beginners gives the straight scoop on the things every spiritual counselor ought to know, whether they are reading tarot cards for friends only, or a licensed therapist expanding their practice to include matters of the soul. You'll get the spiritual counselors' code of conduct, introduction to various analysis and healing techniques, and information on how to get the more in-depth training you may need. Also included in this class are licensing and educational issues.
